Hello. I’m Sabrina Danielle.

I’m Sabrina Danielle Green. A creator, a performer, a lover … and a woman with a lot to say.

Music is part of how I think. I love an interesting rhythm, a little alliteration, a sentence that takes its time; then one that doesn’t. I want room to be funny, feminine, curious, complicated. Sometimes all in the same paragraph.

I love making things. Software, stories, a little space for somebody to feel understood. I also want art, music, affection, a dress I feel good in, and an afternoon out with my dog, Bonnie. She needs to smell everything. We take our time.

Running Naked & Black is where I write personal essays about being seen, loving people, wanting things, and the habits I’m still trying to understand. Some draw on difficult parts of my life. There’s pleasure here, too. Humor. The business of deciding what I actually like after spending so much time worrying about what other people might think.

The name is about letting myself be seen without having to make every part of me easy to explain. To know me is to know Sabrina Danielle; these essays are one way in.
